Age @ Work
What are the potentials and challenges of different generations working together? What does it mean to be "young" or "old" at work?
Überblick
Dear friends on the Path,
we are happy to continue our online sharings on different aspects of mindfulness and the dharma at work and in other economic activities.
On July 21 we will look deeply into the role of age at work.
What does it mean to be young or old at work? Who is considered young, and who is considered old?
What challenges do we face?
How do experience and a beginner's mind work together?
How do work styles and communication styles differ?
Which emotions are triggered when we meet someone of a different age?
How can different generations work together in harmony?
How can we "begin anew" when something has gone wrong?
In this 75-minute session, we will meditate together, hear a short impulse talk, allow for self-reflection and exchange in break-out groups.

ABOUT THE FORMAT
Online impulses from the Network for Mindful Business are a 75-minute format to meditate together, share shortly on the topic, allow for self-reflection and exchange in break-out groups. They generally take place from 17:15 - 18:30 CET (Central European Time a.k.a. Paris, Berlin, Rome), which makes for a nice close to the workday in Europe, a morning practice in the Americas and an evening close in Asia.
They grew out of local in-person events focused around various topics or koans and coalesced into an online format in 2020 as we moved toward more international activities.
The impulses are hosted alternatively by different core members of the Network for Mindful Business.
