Christiane

Since 2012, I have been a member of the Mindful Business Network (NAW) and was involved in the founding of the regional group in Frankfurt, which I still coordinate today.

I studied business administration and worked in market research for several years. When I realized that market research was a "job" but not a "calling" for me, I took an extended break in New Zealand and Australia and fulfilled my dream by opening Villa Orange in 2000.

Villa Orange is a business and organic hotel in Frankfurt. It stands for 100% organic food for breakfast and seminar catering. Sustainability is a central theme throughout the entire hotel... :-)

What I like about NAW is that it's not about criticizing the economic system, but about change that begins with each individual – in line with Gandhi's motto, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

Many of the network's mindfulness skills, such as extra-relaxation, impulse control, true pause, deep listening, companionship, and de-identification, accompany me in my daily life.

Mindful Business Commitment is an important moral compass for my business activities.

I currently live in Frankfurt am Main with my Labradoodle, Daisy.

Support the
Network for Mindful Business e.V.

We are a non-profit organization that relies on donations to pursue its long-term goals. Donations are, for us, "warm money," often called "Dana" in Buddhist terminology. Dana represents giving freely and without ulterior motives to support beneficial causes. Dana is loving-kindness and goodwill, enabling the Buddha's wisdom teachings to flow powerfully onward.
